Submission Criteria

SUBMISSIONS FOR VOLUME IX ARE OPEN UNTIL 25 MARCH 2024.

If you would like to submit an essay, dissertation, or article to the Durham Law Review (DLR), please email lawreview.society@durham.ac.uk. Along with any submission, please include a brief overview of your piece, an abstract (if possible), and the grade received.

We are looking for argumentative and contemporary submissions that are contributing towards the legal debate, offering a new perspective on a current topic. There is no specific word count required.

Your submission will be published on the DLR website and in our hard-copy journal after being selected.

Kindly reach us through email or Instagram @durham.lawreview for any enquiries.

Blog Post Criteria

DLR offers a monthly opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to write a feature article in response to a topic released at the beginning of each month. Students from any degree can publish an article for our Blog, provided that the submission is legal in nature.

Selected submissions will be edited and published. A member of the Law School Faculty will review the submissions by the end of each term, thereby giving awards to the best submissions.

Articles submitted should be of 500-1000 words. Kindly email your submissions to lawreview.society@durham.ac.uk, with your full name and title of the article indicated in the subject.
